The Role

  • Maintenance and repair of vehicle chassis and cab to meet current legislation Health and Safety and VOSA requirements both in the workshop and on the roadside
  • Maintenance and repair of waste handling equipment, including electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Carry out scheduled service and inspections to meet company Operators licence commitments
  • Complete service and repair documentation and records in accordance with company requirements and standards

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper based.

This role will cover the North West and North East, potentially covering other areas of the UK to support.

We currently have a job opportunity within the Safety Training team for a construction/utilities orientated Safety Trainer based from home to operate Training Services across the UK. You will be required to deliver both classroom and practical training courses to our customers in line with their current training programmes.

Working with the General Manager – Training, Accredited courses will be delivered at a variety of satellite locations or on-site at the customers’ premises in and around the North West and North East where consistent assessing and measurement of delegates will be required to meet course objectives.

 Fitter/Fabricator – Germany – £36000.00 – £40000.00

We are looking for 6 welders/ fabricators that can commit to working 6-18 months in Germany before relocating back to the UK working in Manchester.

Our client have won a huge contract and will be building military vehicles for the foreseeable, so role is essentially working on the shells of armoured vehicles.

You will ideally from a heavy manufacturing background, you will have welded steel in heavy industry or previously worked on tanks in the forces, or perhaps for JCB and can weld and also read drawings.

Whilst in Germany you will have a basic salary paid in GBP, free accommodation, food allowance and travel allowance. There is also shift allowances.

Qualifications and competences: Heavy plant experience, time served diesel fitter, mechanical engineering skills, driving licence, responsible, methodical and good attention to detail, team player, physically fit, polite, customer focused.
PTS is desirable but not necessary as training will be provided.
